Flight Software Engineer
I’m recruiting on behalf of a stealth space systems company building next-generation spacecraft. This is a small, fast-moving team where engineers own real systems and ship software that operates in unforgiving environments.
The Role
- Design and build flight software that runs on orbit
- Own systems end-to-end, from concept through deployment
- Work across autonomy, command & data handling, control, and fault management
- Support live operations and iterative updates
What They Care About
- Proven excellence on a serious software project
- Strong C/C++ experience (3+ years)
- Comfort with embedded or low-level systems
- Ability to debug, test, and operate under real constraints
Experience with high-reliability systems, embedded Linux or microcontrollers, networking, and fault-tolerant design is a plus.
This is not a slow, bureaucratic environment. Ownership, speed, and judgment matter more than box-ticking.
