Embedded Firmware Engineer | LA
The Opportunity
- We’re hiring an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join a fast-moving team building next-generation technology for space, communications, and high-reliability systems. If you enjoy working close to the hardware, solving complex problems, and shipping firmware that runs in real-world mission environments, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
-
Develop, implement, and test embedded firmware in C/C++ for custom hardware platforms
-
Work hands-on with microcontrollers, sensors, and high-speed digital interfaces
-
Collaborate closely with FPGA, hardware, and systems engineers to bring up new boards and features
-
Own firmware from concept through integration, validation, and production
-
Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and debugging across the full product stack
-
Contribute to improving embedded development processes, toolchains, and testing practices
What We’re Looking For
-
Strong experience with embedded C/C++ and real-time firmware development
-
Knowledge of MCUs, peripherals, SPI/I2C/UART, GPIO, DMA, interrupts, etc.
-
Experience with firmware bring-up, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and low-level debugging
-
Understanding of RTOS, bootloaders, or bare-metal systems
-
Ability to read schematics and collaborate with hardware teams
-
Comfort working in a fast-paced engineering environment where ownership matters
Why This Team?
- You'll join a tight-knit engineering group working on meaningful, technically challenging projects with real impact. Expect autonomy, collaboration, and the chance to shape how embedded systems are built at scale.
If you’re excited about building firmware that goes beyond the ordinary, we’d love to talk.
