Senior Electrical Engineer
On-site in San Francisco
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, build, and support electronic systems for a complex, hardware-driven platform operating in demanding environments. This is a hands-on role involving full lifecycle ownership of electrical hardware and close collaboration with cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, integrate, and test electronic subsystems for large-scale electromechanical systems
- Create schematics, select components, and contribute to PCB layout
- Assemble, debug, and validate hardware in lab and field environments
- Support embedded firmware development for control, sensing, and data acquisition
- Document electrical designs, tests, and system behavior
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on system integration
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience designing electronic hardware
- Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, or similar)
- Experience with embedded systems (ARM, STM32, RP2040, or equivalent)
- Comfortable using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
Nice to have:
- Embedded firmware development
- High-voltage electronics, analog/mixed-signal design, or RF
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI best practices
