DFT Engineer

DFT engineers are typically involved in scan insertion, boundary scan, built-in self-test (BIST), and test pattern generation. They work closely with design, verification, and silicon validation teams to integrate testability features without compromising performance or power consumption.

To excel in this role, a DFT engineer needs strong digital design skills, experience with hardware description languages like Verilog or VHDL, and familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools such as Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics.
