About the Role
We are working with an innovative autonomous robotics startup seeking a Software Engineer to develop high-performance software that powers complex robotic systems. The role focuses on real-time control, system orchestration, hardware-software integration, and developing reliable software to support autonomous operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own software connecting robotic hardware, sensors, control systems, and higher-level autonomy software.
- Collaborate with robotics engineers and research teams to translate technical requirements into reliable, high-performance software.
- Contribute to system integration, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and cross-disciplinary debugging across robotic platforms.
Ideal Qualifications
- Strong programming skills in C++, and experience working closely with hardware
- Familiarity with interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with controls engineering, trajectory planning, autonomous GNC, etc.
- Experience with real-time systems, robotics software, or hardware-in-the-loop control environments.
- Experience developing software within Linux-based environments, real-time systems, or complex hardware control architectures.
The client is a fast growing start up that has established itself as one of the market leaders in a rapidly growing industry. They are a well funded deep tech hardware company that are building highly complex precision systems at the intersection of physics and engineering innovation. With customers queuing outside of the door and real hardware being shipped globally, they are looking for someone to join their team, take full ownership of a product and contribute to the company's overall goal.
