Principal Performance Modeling Architect
I'm currently working with an innovative technology company looking to hire a Principal Performance Modeling Architect to lead the development of advanced performance analysis and modeling capabilities for next-generation compute platforms.
This is a highly visible individual contributor role focused on building analytical and simulation-driven models that help guide architecture decisions, evaluate system performance, and influence long-term product strategy.
Key Requirements:
- 5–8+ years of experience in performance modeling, computer architecture, systems engineering, or a related field
- Experience developing analytical, simulation-based, or first-principles performance models
- Strong understanding of modern compute systems, memory architectures, and distributed infrastructure
- Excellent Python programming skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights and recommendations
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and quantitative analysis skills
- Experience working across hardware, software, and systems teams
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows
Nice to Have:
- Experience with large-scale compute, AI, machine learning, or high-performance computing environments
- Knowledge of workload characterization, benchmarking, and performance optimization techniques
- Familiarity with distributed systems, networking, or accelerator technologies
- Experience with cost, efficiency, or capacity modeling
- Open-source contributions or experience building internal engineering platforms
