The Opportunity
Join a small, fast-paced aerospace team as an early embedded engineer, owning the development of flight software for a new spacecraft platform. You’ll define the software architecture from scratch—covering command & data handling, communications, and system control—while working closely with hardware teams to bring up and operate the vehicle in orbit. The role is highly hands-on, with responsibility spanning initial design through in-mission updates and scaling to future vehicles.
What you’ll get
- High ownership as an early engineer shaping core flight software
- End-to-end exposure: architecture, implementation, testing, and on-orbit operations
- Competitive salary plus equity
- Strong benefits (healthcare, retirement, generous time off)
- Fast-moving, build-first environment with real mission responsibility
What you’ll bring
- Strong C/C++ experience on embedded or autonomous systems (e.g. robotics, vehicles, spacecraft)
- Experience designing reliable, fault-tolerant software with validation and remote update capability
- Ability to architect software interacting with hardware systems (sensors, ADCS, power, comms, etc.)
- Familiarity with testing approaches (unit tests, simulation, HIL/flatsat)
- Comfort working autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
