Data Centre Hardware Architect — AI Infrastructure
Help design the infrastructure behind the next generation of AI compute.
This is a chance to take substantial architectural ownership within a specialist team, working directly with customers and hardware/software architects to connect server platforms, rack design, power and cooling into complete, deployable systems.
Your decisions will influence how customers build their infrastructure: what they deploy, how efficiently it operates and how it scales. You’ll stay involved from the first requirements discussion through design, deployment and commissioning.
What you’ll own
- Architect tailored data centre solutions for cloud and AI infrastructure customers.
- Shape server configurations, rack layouts, power distribution and cooling strategies.
- Specify liquid-cooling infrastructure, including CDUs, and optimise thermal performance.
- Guide facility integration alongside mechanical, electrical and plumbing teams.
- Develop reference architectures that support repeatable deployments globally.
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years in data centre hardware, server systems or infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying infrastructure in hyperscale environments.
- Strong technical depth in cooling, power or server/rack engineering, with the breadth to connect those disciplines.
- The confidence to lead customer discussions and turn complex requirements into practical engineering decisions.
- Willingness to travel internationally for customer engagements.
Thermal and mechanical expertise is particularly valued, especially experience with liquid-cooled servers, rack-scale systems and high-density GPU deployments.
