Simulator Developer / 200k-300k + equity / VC backed stealth
You'll join a VC-backed, stealth-mode startup building rack-level AI inference systems. A uniquely differentiated SoC enabling system-level innovations that maximize efficiency for data center-scale inference serving. We are seeking highly skilled and motivated engineers to join in building HW and developing/extending open source SW to serve leading-edge models on leading-edge GPUs with extreme efficiency.
About the role:
- Develop and maintain processor simulators and architectural models
- Model pipelines, memory systems, interconnects, and accelerators
- Generate and curate traces and workloads for performance analysis
- Analyze simulation results and drive architectural optimizations
- Partner closely with architecture, hardware, and compiler teams
- Own critical simulation infrastructure from development through deployment
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in systems, architecture, semiconductors, or EDA
- Strong C++ and Python skills
- Experience building or extending processor simulators and performance models
- Deep understanding of computer architecture and microarchitecture
- Able to work independently in a fast-moving start-up environment
Nice to have:
- AI/ML accelerators, GPUs, or heterogeneous systems
- gem5 or similar simulation frameworks
- HW/SW co-design or compiler experience
