Senior RF Hardware Engineer

Design RF hardware for the next generation of spacecraft.

We're working with an innovative aerospace company developing advanced New Space systems. They're looking for a Senior RF Hardware Engineer to lead the design and development of high-performance RF hardware for cutting-edge space applications.

Responsibilities

• Design RF hardware from concept through flight qualification.
• Develop RF circuits including LNAs, PAs, mixers, filters and synthesizers.
• Perform schematic capture, component selection and PCB layout reviews.
• Simulate, prototype and validate RF designs using standard lab equipment.
• Support integration, environmental testing and production.
• Collaborate with systems, software and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Extensive RF hardware design experience within aerospace, satellite communications, defence or another high-reliability industry.
• Strong understanding of RF principles including impedance matching, S-parameters, gain, noise figure and phase noise.
• Experience with RF simulation tools such as ADS, AWR, HFSS or CST.
• Hands-on experience debugging and testing RF hardware.

Nice to Have

• Space-qualified hardware.
• SDR, phased arrays or SATCOM systems.
• FPGA integration or EMI/EMC experience.
