Staff Software Engineer - Fully Remote (USA)
The Oho group are working with a fast-growing, venture-backed cybersecurity technology startup looking for a staff software engineer to join their growing team. Working at the forefront of Cybersecurity.
What you will be doing
- Lead architectural design and define technical specifications for scalable, high-performance systems
- Own end-to-end delivery from development and testing through to deployment and maintenance
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and best practices
- Mentor and support senior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture
- Partner closely with product and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into production-ready solutions
What you need
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership on large-scale distributed systems
- Strong programming expertise in at least one modern language (e.g. Python, Java, or Go)
- Hands-on experience building Python-based services
- Deep understanding of both relational and non-relational databases, including schema design and migrations
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices
- Experience with AWS services
- Track record of leading projects and delivering against deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across team
