Lead SoC Verification Engineer - Stealth Edge AI Startup - Bay Area
About the Role
We're working with a well-funded stealth semiconductor startup developing a next-generation edge computing platform. They are looking for a Lead SoC Verification Engineer to define and drive the verification strategy for a complex ASIC, working closely with internal engineering teams and external ASIC partners.
This is a senior, hands-on role with the opportunity to shape verification methodology from architecture through to first silicon.
What You'll Be Doing
- Collaborate with architecture, design, and software teams to develop comprehensive verification plans.
- Create scalable verification environments for block-level and full-chip verification.
- Develop reusable testbenches, verification libraries, scoreboards, and coverage infrastructure.
- Write directed and constrained-random test cases to thoroughly verify complex SoC designs.
- Track bugs, analyse coverage, and drive verification closure.
- Support hardware/software co-development using emulation platforms.
- Work closely with validation teams to ensure a smooth path to first silicon.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of ASIC or SoC verification experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of AMBA protocols including CHI, AXI, AXI-Stream, and APB.
- Expert-level SystemVerilog, SystemC, and UVM experience.
- Experience verifying designs with multiple power domains using UPF and industry-standard verification tools.
- Proven track record of contributing to successful first-pass silicon.
