About the Role
We are working with a hyper scaling aerospace startup developing next-generation spacecraft technology, seeking a Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer to help design and develop advanced spacecraft control systems.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity in a growing team, where you will take ownership of GNC development from initial design and simulation through to flight software implementation and on-orbit operations.
The role offers significant technical autonomy, ownership of the full - life cycle of the product and working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve complex challenges in spacecraft dynamics, navigation and control.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design, develop and validate guidance, navigation and control algorithms for spacecraft attitude and orbital control.
-
Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulation environments to evaluate spacecraft dynamics, performance and system reliability.
-
Design and implement state estimation, trajectory planning and control algorithms for complex spacecraft systems.
-
Develop GNC algorithms for integration into flight software, supporting testing and validation against flight-representative hardware.
Required Qualifications
-
Experience in Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC).
-
Strong understanding of dynamics, control theory, state estimation and trajectory optimization.
-
Experience developing and validating GNC algorithms for complex physical systems.
Nice to Have:
-
Proficiency in Python, C++ and/or Rust.
-
Experience working on 6 - DOF
-
Experience in real time spacecraft operations support.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This position offers the opportunity to take genuine ownership of GNC development rather than focusing on one isolated part of the system.
You will have direct influence over the algorithms, simulation environments and flight software that determine how a new spacecraft platform performs in orbit.
If you're a GNC engineer who enjoys taking complex systems from initial concepts through to real-world operation, and wants to have a meaningful influence on the development of a new spacecraft platform, we'd be interested in hearing about what you've built.
